SEO is techniques on-page SEO-optimization that help your website to rank higher in search engine pages. In term of traffic, higher the ranking of site on search engine, higher the traffic. SEO plays major roles in boosting traffic, so it’s necessary to have deep knowledge in SEO.

     1. Page Titles

This is one of main On-Page optimization Techniques. It’s most important part of entire page, it tells users what the page is about. The page title of every post should be unique on entire web and contain target keyword for page. It means you should use target keyword or phrase in page title. One more thing keep in mind not to repeat same keyword in title page, it could break down your ranking, never dot it. The length of title should be 65 characters.

For Example, If you have blog related “leather shoes” then your title should be “ leather design” or “leather shoes price”, the main keyword of your blog post. People search your blog with this keyword “leather shoes” or “shoes”.


      2. Meta Description:

Meta description is the another main SEO factor for your site. Many people then don’t take Meta description seriously or mostly people forgot to use it. Meta description is a couple of sentences, a snippet about your website or pages, it also contains main keywords. It tells readers what the website or pages is about. Always keep in mind write perfect description to force users to visit your site. Then make your description unique for each page.


      3. Meta Tags

The another prime SEO factor. Meta tags are set of keywords then separated by comma in your website. Keywords should be relevant to the article. You can use number of keywords but make it limit. Don’t put irrelevant keywords in the Meta tag.


      4. Image

Image optimization while searches help in driving more traffic. For that, you need to write keywords in “Image Title” and “Alt Text” easy to get recognize by users. Also, image engages more people and stick on particular for long, it help increase in overall ranking. Large images slow down speed of loading page.


       5. Word Count

Blog posts with less words, chance to rank low, reason it have less informative. While writing blog post on general information then article with at least 400 to 500 words is fine. Analyze other sites posts how much words they used for target keyword. Longer post round 2,000 words ranks well in search engine, due to more informative.

It’s always better to be well-researched and overly informative than it is to not provide enough information. This is especially true if you’re targeting highly competitive keywords.


       6. Interlinking

Place link in your post to related to other pages in the Blog. Interlinking helps users to stay long on your site, it also passes page rank. In interlinking, use relevant keywords in Anchor text.

Place links to related posts from your blog inside of your blog posts.

Interlinking of blog posts will help your blog readers spend more time on your blog, and it will also help pass page rank to other pages of your site. Interlinking shows there is more information in linking page.


       7. External Linking

External linking mean, to link to other websites. Before linking other sites that site should carry relevant information. Link that site you trust on. If you find any doubts in popularity and Authority of a site or bad site, then you can use nofollow tag. You can use follow link for trusted site.


       8. Engage Content

We all know “content is king” but it important write quality and engaging content.  Try to make content more interesting so that people easily engage with post for much time.

If you not able to do so, people will not spend much time on your site. It means, you bounce will increase then ranking will hurt. Writing is an Art, you need to learn it from top sites. Then find out what people is looking for? What topic they are searching.

Keyword Placement:

  • Use Keyword in title.
  • Try to use Keyword in first paragraph.
  • Use Keyword in permalink.
  • Apply Keyword in image alt tag.
  • Use keywords in body
  • Use keyword in H2 or H3.
  • Keep around a 1.5% keyword density.
  • Keep things in Focus
    Remove stop words from permalink.
  • Add video, slides, infographics
  • Mini. 500 words.
  • Compress and resize image before loading.
  • Try to Optimize page load speed.
  • Meta title limits upto 65 characters.
  • Meta description limits upto 150 characters.
  • Internal links to related post.
  • Outbound links to trusted and relevant quality sites.

Keep things in mind:

  • Add images in Social Media Such Facebook, Google+ and Twitter
  • Use social sharing button plugin in your blog post.
  • Have link related to post to decrease bounce rate.
  • Stop using more than one H1 tag (only in Title tag)
  • Stop repeat the H2 and H3 tag.
  • Don’t stuffing keywords.
  • Use keyword in the post title.
  • Use long-tail keywords.
  • If write blog evergreen then remove dates from your website.
  • The Content length should be maximum, more the length more will be your site ranking. Don’t try to create unnecessary unneeded length.


        9. URL Structure or Permalink Structure:

Uniform resource location, keep your URL perfect for your post. You should use SEO friendly URL, these URL easily get focus and crawled by search engines such as Google.

The URL length should be short as it performs better in SERP results. Also, URL should have target keyword in the URL to perform better and able to show better results. Don’t use multiple numbers special characters, question marks etc. words in URL.

If someone links to your page with the URL as Anchor text, the visitors to their site will think twice before following link. Therefore use word in your URL. Keep URL simple and friendly.

For example, website/keyword – Good Permalink

website/212/file/keyword – Not Good


       10. Heading Tags (H1, H2, H3, H6):

The heading of page actually visible to the visitors to your website. Then use heading and sub-heading in the contents. When you complete your blog, you should use heading tags in your blog. If you use these heading tags smartly more visitors will visit your website. By using proper heading such as H1, H2, H3, H4 if you not able to focus on all headings then you must use H1, H2, H3, and H6. You may want heading to be same as title that is perfectly fine.

Also, add keywords rich heading as crawlers easily find to crawls all heading of your site.


       11. Keyword Density:

The relevant keyword is another SEO factor for higher ranking but don’t repeat and overuse keyword several time on page, it’s against Google guidelines. If you do so Google may penalize your website. To avoid such situation try to keep your keyword density up to 2-5%.

Use keyword in the first paragraph and last paragraph.

Use your main keyword once in the first paragraph and again in the last paragraph. And use it in the content where it makes sense.
